Empower your life, one meal at a time! |
|
Wednesday, 15 October 2008 |
Michelle Pierson Michelle Pierson developed an interest in natural health and healing eight years ago after experiencing victory from her own share of problems. On a day to day basis she suffered from anxiety, depression, eczema, sinus congestion, and addiction. Going from a cheerful child involved in sports and activities to one day withdrawn, depressed, and gloomy about life, Michelle knew there had to be a way out of this mess. After spending years immersing herself in health, nutrition, and personal development, Michelle found the winning formula for living life with the zest and vitality she once had. Michelle realizes that no two people are alike and what works for one may not work for another. Michelle's goal is to reach as many people as possible and to help them achieve their health goals with massive success. Creating a dialogue with support and encouragement is what she brings to her classes and events. "I can only think of two words to describe Michelle-She Rocks! Her energy, her spirit, her every inch of her being is dedicated to sharing to healing to doing whatever it takes to create healing, not only for herself but to all those she comes in contact with. It is with that joy that I write this testimony. I'm honored." -Arnold Kauffman, owner of Arnold's Way Raw Food Cafe & Learning Center - Lansdale, PA ***View the latest Living Sun Foods Newsletter***http://www.aweber.com/b/eq0l |

How To Make Fresh And Delicious Almond Milk |
|
Wednesday, 15 October 2008 |
Almond milk is cholesterol free and contains high levels of omega fatty acids and protein, which are proven sources that aid in healthy living. Almonds also contain an unrivaled source of vitamin E which is a powerful antioxidant and one of the only known vitamins to help reduce stomach fat. Zinc, Magnesium, Potassium, Fiber, Phosphorus, Iron and Calcium are among the other vitamins and minerals in this powerhouse of a drink, helping aid everything from your bones to your blood. In fact just by drinking one ounce of almond milk you will have gotten 10% of your daily intake of calcium! Try experimenting by using this as a base for your favorite smoothies, soups, or herbal teas. It's sure to sweeten things up a bit. What you'll need to get started:
1 cup raw almonds 3 cups water
raw agave nectar to taste
sea salt to taste nut milk bag pitcher or large bowl blender
______________________1. Soak 1 cup raw almonds in water for at least 6 hours or overnight. 2. Blend 3 cups water and soaked almonds until thoroughly blended. 3. Strain the almond milk through a nut milk bag (Not sure where to get one? Contact me and I'd be happy to help you find one in your area) into a large pitcher. 4. Rinse blender and pour the strained milk back into the blender. Add the agave and sea salt and blend. Note: You can also add fresh vanilla bean, raw cacao, or cinnamon to jazz it up some. ***View the latest Living Sun Foods Newsletter*** http://www.aweber.com/b/eq0l |
